Terms of use
Last updated: 30 August 2026
Using Imgnest means accepting what follows. It is short, because a site that never receives your files has very little to regulate.
What Imgnest is
Imgnest is a free set of image tools that run in your web browser. There is no account, no subscription, no trial and no paid tier. Use every tool as often as you like, on as many files as you like, for personal or commercial work — no attribution required, no watermark added to your results, no daily cap.
Your images stay yours
We claim no rights over anything you process. Since the tools run on your device and no file is ever uploaded, we could not acquire rights over your images even if we wanted to: we never receive them. The privacy policy has the detail.
What you are responsible for
- Having the right to the images you process. Copyright in a photograph belongs to somebody. Resizing or converting a file does not change who that is, and the watermark tool is for marking your own work, not for altering someone else's.
- Working from a copy. Compression is lossy and cropping is destructive: the tool hands you a new file and leaves the original untouched on your disk. That original is your safety net — keep it until you are satisfied with the result.
- Checking the output. Before submitting a compressed ID photo or a converted scan somewhere it matters, open the result and look at it at full size.
No warranty
Imgnest is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Image formats are full of edge cases — unusual colour profiles, exotic HEIC variants, animated or multi-page files — and browsers differ in what they support. We do not guarantee that a tool will work with any particular file, that a result will be free of defects, or that the site will be available uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from use of this site, including unusable output, lost files or missed deadlines. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer your statutory rights are unaffected.
Acceptable use
Do not try to disrupt the site, use it to process unlawful material, or repackage it as your own service. Beyond that there is little to enforce: processing costs us nothing because it happens on your machine, so there are no quotas to defend.
Third-party content
Pages here carry advertising served by third parties, and the guides link out to other sites. We neither control nor are responsible for that content. The cookie policycovers what advertising may store on your device.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date above tracks the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
